Glory's diary, facing chemo treatment,
Hehe …. Victory! I talked back to Dr. Meyers this morning. Move in a playful way. I was just too cranky this morning with the constipation & traffic, so I was actually fast enough to answer back to Dr. Meyers….for once! And the Med. Student & the clinical nurse (probably training to be nursing assistant) stood there amused listening to us go back & forth….probably cuz they’d never dare to talk to any doctor like him that way hehe…I guess I wouldn’t either, but being the patient gives me several privileges…so the conversation started with “Glory! you’re late for methatrexate!” “It’s called traffic” “Then maybe you should get a better driver” ---looking at my dad! “No, I need to get an apt. in Manhattan!” --- everyone laughs! “I got here at 6:30, why’s that?!” “Cuz you live in the hospital” – apply he’s a workaholic. “Close, but no ….” “Besides clinic doesn’t open until 7:30….” “So….you could eat breakfast in the cafeteria at 6:30 with me…you need it”—referring to my weight drop. So the conversation ended basically with him implying that he’d treat me to breakfast if I show up tomorrow morning at 6:30. Sigh….even if I make it…I duno if I wanna be there. He intimidates me…cuz he’s a brilliant doctor & he know it. I don’t want him to think I’m stupid, not that it matters or anything. Anywayz…after that he went out of the room & we talked about Jackuss, the TV show…so fun, they were pretty cool.
